Jacky has always had a clear sense of the importance of play in her work. She loves to explore language, culture, embodiment, autonomy, and pleasure. Jacky chooses to engage with subject mater and different mediums precisely because they have the potential to reshape her understanding. She also believes that her pleasure can be a form of resistance and empowerment against systems of oppression, and that everyone has the right to experience pleasure and joy without stigma or harm. These are some of the guiding elements in her art practice.
